​This year’s BICO Family Concert features Prokofiev’s enchanting musical tale, Peter and the Wolf. Suitable for children of all ages, this performance continues our longstanding tradition of presenting family concerts which are entertaining and educational for all ages.
Prokofiev composed Peter and the Wolf in 1936 with the aim of cultivating musical tastes in children. To this day, it remains arguably the most popular orchestral work among children worldwide. Featuring a chamber orchestra in which each instrument represents the story’s human and animal characters, it is not only a wonderful demonstration of the instruments of the orchestra, but also a classic that brings joy to every audience.
Also on show is French composer Saint-Saëns’ masterpiece, Carnival of the Animals! Each movement depicts a different animal, from a royal lion to a graceful swan. Featuring solo-pianists Giorgio Fortunato and his 13 year-old student Mizuki Natsu, as well as special guest Timothy O´Reilly as narrator, this will round off your evening with a journey into the wild!

本季度北京国际室内乐团家庭亲子音乐会：普罗科菲耶夫的奇幻音乐故事——彼得与狼。适合各年龄段的孩子们，本场音乐会将延续本乐团一贯传统，为所有人提供一场寓教于乐的音乐会。
彼得与狼是普罗科菲耶夫于1936年创作的，旨在培养孩子们的音乐素养。直到今天，这部作品依然是古典音乐界最受欢迎的儿童作品。在这部作品中，每一件乐器将会扮演故事中的一个角色，比如，小提琴扮演少先队员彼得，长笛扮演小鸟，圆号扮演大灰狼，等等。这将会给听众带来极大的吸引力与无与伦比的视听感受。
我们还将会上演另一部由法国作曲家圣桑作曲的作品——动物狂欢节！乐曲的每一个乐章都试图表现一种动物，从高贵的狮子到优雅的天鹅。本场演出中担任钢琴独奏的音乐家是来自于意大利的冯大志与他13岁的学生夏瑞生。我们还有幸邀请到了一位特别的嘉宾——蒂莫西座位本场演出的解说。我相信演出当晚，你将会沉浸在动物王国的旅途中。
